Will Intel’s Haswell Processors Revolutionise The Ultrabook Industry?

Various sources have confirmed that the successor of ’s ‘Ivy Bridge’ processors, codenamed ‘Haswell’, will hit the market as soon as June this year. Although there’s currently not much details about the processors, but Intel has claimed that Haswell will be one of the biggest updates in the last few decades, specifically made to revolutionise the Ultrabook industry. It’s a bold promise that has been supported by many reports and leaks.

So, what sorts of performance should you be expecting from this upcoming processors? According to early specification teasers from the company, Haswell’s integrated graphic chip (codenamed ‘Iris’) will deliver over 2x better graphic performance than that found in the current Ivy Bridge processors. This means, the next generation Ultrabooks will have the capability of playing ultra-high resolution 4K video (3840 x 2160 pixels)! 3D graphic and video rendering performance will also get a significant improvement.
